This page explains what fultonautoinc.com collects, why, where it goes and how long it is kept. It covers this website only. It does not cover anything handled at the shop or over the phone.

What we collect
We collect personal information in one place on this site: the service request form on our request page. That is your name, phone number, the vehicle details you enter (year, make, model and VIN if you give it), the kind of help you want, and whatever you write about it. The form also sends how many seconds the page was open before you pressed send, which is used only to screen out automated spam. The IP address the request came from is recorded with it.
The used parts search does not send anything to us. Choosing a part there only fills in the request form if you press "Ask the counter".
You do not have to use the form. You are welcome to call us at (315) 592-5559 instead, and nothing is recorded by this website when you do.
What happens to it
A form submission is emailed to the shop. The email is sent through Postmark, a service that delivers email on our behalf.
A copy of each submission, including the IP address it came from, is stored with our website host for up to one year, so that a request is never lost if an email fails to arrive. We use your details to call you back about your vehicle. The website does not send them anywhere other than the services named on this page.
Hosting and outside services
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also runs the request form. Like any web host, it records routine request information such as IP addresses for security and reliability.
Cloudflare also adds its Web Analytics script to every page. It counts page views and measures how quickly pages load, it runs whether or not you accept, and it sets no cookies.
The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them and Google receives your IP address when it does.
The map at the bottom of every page is an embedded Google Map. It loads from Google as you scroll near it, whether or not you accept analytics, and Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
The "Search live inventory" button opens our parts inventory, which is run for us by Car-Part.com. Nothing is sent to Car-Part.com unless you click it, and their site then has its own terms.
Cookies
This website sets one cookie of its own, and only to remember your answer about analytics. Our analytics runs without cookies. There is no advertising and no social media pixel anywhere on this site.
When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use analytics. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics are loaded and we remember only your choice.

The Google Map described above may set Google's own cookies. Those come from Google, not from this website.

Analytics
Once you accept, we use Matomo to understand which pages people find useful. Matomo runs on a server operated for us by WhiteCap Data, who built and look after this website, at matomo.whitecapdata.com. The information is not sent to Google Analytics or to any advertising network. Matomo is set up here to work without cookies, so it stores nothing in your browser.
It records the pages you view, where you arrived from, your browser and device, and an approximate location such as your region. Before anything is stored, the last two bytes of your IP address are masked, so Matomo never keeps your full address. The search terms and other details in the address of the site you came from are stripped off. We do not use Matomo to identify you personally, and it makes no heatmaps or recordings of your visit.
Raw visit data is deleted after 90 days. Summary reports, which count visits but do not hold individual ones, are kept for 25 months. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, Matomo records nothing even if you accept.
Your choices
To withdraw consent for analytics, open your cookie choices and choose Decline. Matomo will not load on any later page you view.
